SIMON WACHIRA

Simon Wachira is a mission/impact-driven strategy and communications expert passionate about supporting African brands to grow, innovate and deliver impact especially to the underprivileged communities. A holder of a Master’s degree in Communications, a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Bachelor of Laws (ongoing), Simon has advised some of the leading organisations in Africa. His primary expertise is in the areas of: Communications Strategy, Brand Strategy, Strategic Plans Development, Advocacy Strategy and Resource Mobilisation.

Simon has advised organisations in the disability sector such as the National Council for Persons With Disabilities (where he currently advises the body on strategy and communications), Kenya Association of the Intellectually Handicapped (KAIH), Kenya Disability Parliamentary Association, the Northern Nomadic Disabled Persons Organisation (where he also served as the CEO of the organisation), Andy, among others.

An avid storyteller, Simon has in the past served as the CEO of Volunteers for Africa where he run an award-winning environmental and climate change TV show, CEO of Thinkout Africa Limited, a leading communications and strategy company and Director, strategy, Tungana Tech, a technology company. He also served as the Communications Lead, Kenya Community Development Foundation, among other senior management roles.
