
PAMELA SOMSES
Board Member, South Africa Regional Representative
Pamela is a disability human rights activist. She holds a Bachelor of Project Management degree from the University of Namibia and a Diploma in Youth Development. Pamela is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth Development. She has also taken other courses such as Board induction, children and youth development, strategic management, among others.
Pamela has worked at the National Federation of People With Disabilities (Namibia), the National Association for Children With Disabilities (NACD) and at the Office of the Judiciary, Namibia, as the Senior Court Interpreter. She has in the past served as Board Member of the National Disability Council of Namibia and as a Trustee at the Non-Governmental Organisation Forum (NANGOF), Council Member, National Disability Council of Namibia, Council Member of Namibia Qualifications Authority –NQA
(H) and as a Steering Committee member on Inclusive Education, Curriculum & Syllabi review of education system for learners with Intellectual disabilities
